The College Uniform

The College uniform is a visible sign that students attend Firhouse Community College and hopefully gives students the opportunity to take pride in their school. The correct uniform must be worn at all times including when on school trips and visits unless permission is given to do otherwise. In preparing for the new school year please make sure that your son/ daughter has the complete and correct uniform for school. Students without full and proper uniform may not be allowed to attend class.

1st to 5th year students

  • Bottle green v-neck pullover with school crest.
  • Dark grey Shirt.
  • Dark grey uniform trousers for the boys.
  • Dark grey”A” line knee length skirt for the girls.
  • The girls may wear trousers instead of a skirt if they wish.
  • Black shoes- not runners. The shoes should be leather and provide adequate support for the child’s feet. Lightweight pumps or canvas shoes are not suitable.
  • School tie- available in the College.
  • School Jacket- available in the College.

 

6th year students

  • Black v-neck pullover with school crest.
  • White Shirt.
  • Dark grey uniform trousers for the boys.
  • Dark grey”A” line knee length skir for the girls.
  • Girls may wear trousers instead of a skirt if they wish.
  • Black shoes- not runners. The shoes should be leather and provide adequate support for the child’s feet. Lightweight pumps or canvas shoes are not suitable.
  • School tie – available in the College.
  • School Jacket – available in the College.

P.E. Uniform
Physical Education Uniform-must be worn at P.E.

  • Short sleeve, full length, plain, unprinted white T-Shirt.
  • Full length navy tracksuit legs.
  • Runners (White soles).
  • School P.E. hoodie ( grey with school crest) available from the College.

Jewellery must be kept to a minimum.
Body piercing, other than earrings is not permitted for health and safety considerations.
Earrings, if worn, must be discreet.
For safety reasons jewellery must not be worn during P.E. or practical classes.It is not appropriate for students to wear make-up or extreme hairstyles during the school day. Students may be asked to remove make-up or adjust hairstyles before attending class.
